Dr. Aaron Gerard

Aaron Gerard is a treating physician at Greenwich Sports Medicine. He specializes in musculoskeletal injuries. He earned a bachelors of science degree in Kinesiology from Kansas State University. He obtained his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic of Florida. Dr. Gerard takes a functional approach to treating musculoskeletal injuries. He uses a combination of soft tissue techniques, medical acupuncture and joint manipulation. He has earned full body certification in Active Release Technique including nerve entrapments. Dr. Gerard has also completed the McMaster Contemporary Acupuncture Program through the Department of Anesthesia McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He has also completed the Advanced Neurofunctional Sports Performance Program. He recognizes you can’t perform at your best when you are in pain and have restricted ranges of motion. His goals are to restore neurological function, enhance performance, improve recovery and prevent further injuries from occurring down the road. Dr. Gerard is a chiropractic consultant for the MLS team, the NYCFC. Dr. Gerard has worked with athletes of all levels including: the LPGA Futures Tour, NFL, NHL, Ragnar Relays, United States Tennis Association, squash, professional strong men and women, highland games competitors, triathletes, marathoners, ironman competitors, cross fitters, baseball players, swimmers, surfers and many others. Dr. Gerard has competed in multiple sports including football, basketball, track and field and natural bodybuilding. Now he enjoys training for strongman competitions.
